18 July 2022 Seattle: Up to the top of the Space Needle

Some casual readers to this blog may not know that I have natural panic reactions to life threatening situations.  One of those life and death situations could be dangling over a 650 foot drop, supported by transparent slabs of glass while in an active seismic zone.  But when Leslie says "let's go up", off I go with her.  We rode up the glass walled elevators, which is slightly hairy.  Once we arrived at the top we were ushered out to the glass encased viewing platform.  There are benches that allow some folks to relax, if they can.  Other folks chose to stand on these benches for better views or for funky poses.  We went around a few times at the top and then we walked back to our place.
