23 September 2023 Lisbon: A Church Within A Museum

Within the tile museum was an entire church.  That was not something we expected.  Although there were many tiles in the church it was so big that it could easily be a stand alone attraction.  As we walked into the antechamber of the church we were blown away by the grandeur.  It reminded me of the mysterious briefcase in "Pulp Fiction" that glowed gold when opened.  The gold light that was pouring out of the sanctuary area was something to behold.  The tile work continued into the church,  along the walls, but that was secondary to the wall bling. Gold gold gold everywhere some gold.  An unexpected gem.

the tower seems out of olace

But it sure is pretty
