Explore, Hike, Lunch and a Winery 13 July 2021 Pokagon Park IN
This park is a large state park and it has lots attractions. We parked at the Nature Center and hiked in the woods behind it. We have really enjoyed the variety of trees that we have seen along the trip. Then we inspected the Toboggan Run and those silly rules. Then it was off to lunch at the Lodge. There were lots of folks on the lawn again on this day. The light lunch of soup and a half a salad turned into a giant mug of chicken and dumplings and what I would have thought was a full sized salad. After finishing half of Leslie's soup I was stuffed as were the rest of us. A storm was rolling in so we scooted off to a winery for a tasting. The Winery offered an 8 wine tasting for free. After the California wine tasting fees, this was a bit of a surprise. They were bottling at the time and the fruit wines were the majority of the wines that they offered.
