Off to Laconia NH 6 July 2021 Laconia NH
We got up, had some breakfast, packed the car and hit the road. We re-traced out steps to Portland and then his some back roads to get to beautiful Laconia New Hampshire. I could not begin to list all of the road numbers as we turned and twisted our way through old New England. Several of the roads paralleled rivers and we stopped multiple times to snack, lunch and or stretch out. Laconia is situated on Lake Opechee and we stayed at the Lake Opechee Inn and Spa. The room was lovely with a balcony and a great view. This is our two week on the road mark or we chose to get massages. A smart decision indeed. We had dinner and drinks onsite at a fine restaurant. My steak was fabulous and Leslie had a Wagu beef meat loaf with a siracha glaze. It was especially good as it was my first red meat in a while. Off to the balcony for the sunset and a couple "cuppas" of tea.
