Last day in Boothbay

5 July 2021  Boothbay Harbor Maine

We had Donna and Ray over to the house for a breakfast of bacon, eggs and blueberry pancakes.  What a great way to start our day with great friends.  The sum was out and it was shorts weather.  We drove out to the tip of the next inlet up the coast.  At the tip was the Ocean Point Walk and the Ocean Point Inn.  The walk took us out over the ledges which were shelves of rocks that went out to the waters edge.  There were tidal pools along the walk and various bands of mica-like minerals in the rocks themselves.  The sun was full out and we were soaking it up.  The folks up here really put lots of effort into their gardens.  We spoke with one gentleman about his garden and even offered to help.  The man declined but Ray was able to wrestle out a big weed.  We sat on the rocks for a while and then headed over to the Ocean Point Inn for lunch.  Lobster Roll, haddock sandwich, fish and chips and more made up a fine lunch for us.  A few local beers topped of the afternoon.  We migrated from the table to the Adirondack chairs along the seawall.  it seemed that everyone who had a boat was out on the water.  Most of the moorings had only the dingy attached, a tiny boats awaiting the return of the bigger boats,  Ray played a few more songs to the delight of us and the passers by.

An improvised large scale tea bag.  Used to brew tasty gyokuro tea for all of us.
