Time to walk and then walk some more 14 July 2021 Chicago Lakeside
The rain cleared out pretty quickly and so we took off again. It was a straight shot to the Lakeside Trail and easy walking. We saw Navy Pier, the marina, walking and bike trails, lots folks enjoying ice cream, beers, snacks and such. There were pedicabs and we noticed that each pedicab had culturally appropriate music to play that specifically matched the ethnicity of the passengers. We speculated about what music they would play for us. It could be Rat Pack Jazz or Bruno Mars. Regardless of how appealing it is to have someone else carry us through Chicago, my legs need to work. So we walked along Lake Michigan and then us through Maggie Daley Park and back to the room. 12,000 + steps made it the walkies that we wanted.
