10 May 2024 Tokyo: Off to Yokohama's Rose garden and China Town

Yokohama was a delightful place to stroll about.  We sat in a train for just over an hour to get there.  The lines changed from F line to TY line to the MM line even though we never left the train.  Staying .  on one train was nice but it got to be a bit uncomfortable

This is the mascot for the police

We got our next batch of tickets at the JR office.  What a complicated user interface

A handkerchief vending machine

The station is next to the ball park

One serious town mascot!

Art in the station

An Art Deco city hall

Funky tiles in the sidewalks all over town

Singly and in groups of nine

A stylized Yokohama bay?

The rickshaw wheelie!

The parasol is a great tool

All these dog carriers!

Taking a picture with her little stuffed toy man

I liked the lady with the umbrella off to the side.  So genteel keeping the sun off her face.

A tower towering over the gardens

Anchored here for visitors to see

It is a museum

Mermaid dreams

Cool art at the start of the Yokohama China Town

No expense is spared on the facades

A surprisingly high density of psychic readers

Nice balconies

No actual porcupine in the dumplings

That seems like a decent sized order

Super Dumpling-man has a cat like mini dumpling side kick!

Fancy lights

Not a menu for the indecisive

This light post is on fire

Cute little dumplings

Inflatable ornamentation

An odd place for a stump

The gate on the way out
