Today was a complete wash out! 2-3 inches of rain is expected by the time it ends, the temperature never got out of the low 50's and since we are retired, we never left the Hotel. Being savvy travelers we were aware of this weather so we had moved our plans around to accommodate this. Kawasawa took the brunt of this rearrangement and it was cut. No matter, visiting there would have required 3 hours of train travel which is right at our limit for a day trip. We took the time to prepare for our trip to Nagano tomorrow, for our trip to Copenhagen in five days and our destinations further out.
When I took this picture I thought that it was raining hard
This is what hard rain looked like
Look what is on the way! Hopefully it stays south but typhoon season starts in May in Japan
