9 May 2024 Tokyo: The Sinjuku Goyen National Garden

The Shinjuku National Garden is a thing of beauty.  The day was fantastic and it was just perfect for walking in the park.  We zigged and zagged and finally found ourselves over by the greenhouse.  It was a jungle in there!

Big monster and little monster

Who doesn't like a cinnamoroll!

The corner of the park

It has a central park vibe

The flowers and their locations

They are through the gates and off onto the park

Manicured lawns

Placid waters

The worker's truck is sneaking out.  They were mowing and weed eating

Why are there no ducks?

No ducks or coots or moorhens or geese or any waterfowl...

Many Brown Eared Bulbuls

I wonder how these would taste?

A teahouse?

A rough built lantern and pine tree

Crows galore

Big trees!

Big crows

Lots of them

Hot dog and a smile!  The flavors were pretty normal, cheese dog, garden dog and national park dog

These are London plane trees

We have arrived at the rose garden!

I will let the flowers speak fo themselves

We sat a bit on a bench

The greenhouse

A small museum

Samples of the cherry blossoms

Looking back at the museum

Duckweed but no ducks

In the greenhouse lots of orchids

A fine visit to the gardens

We went all through the park

It has been 1 year and 339 days since we began our Migration
