Laura got to the apartment around 1:00 AM. She certainly had a very long day of travel.....Orlando to London, a long layover, then to Bologna. We stayed up to greet her and let her into the building. It was a long night for everyone and we all slept in in the morning. Once we got ourselves together we took Laura out to see Bologna. We were out for four hours and then headed back to go out to dinner
First a bunny in a stroller
We walked
Trespassed a bit
We headed down to the towers
The doors to this building were open
Peeked in even though there was only one room open tot he public
The entry way was already a fine sight
A large meeting hall
Beautifully decorated
Many a crest
All the families
Spooky baby head door knob
Bologna has one of the largest and most intact old towns in Europe
The porticos were awarded the UNESCO world heritage denomination in 2011
The towers are still leaning
Domes and clock towers
The towers from the other side
Dr. Bones!
You loose!
Thinking of Mara
Not all advertisement campaigns translate
We had to visit this well stocked deli
We also shower her the big cathedral
This looks like a leftover tower
Do the strawberry dance
So much Italian fashion
We came arond the other side of the cathedral
Through some nice arches
But could go no further
These logs of mortadella were at least 10 inches in diameter
Hanging out over the door
Yikes! A indie movie house
The wine merchant tried to sell me a very expensive Primotivo
Gargoyle!
We went to the Osteria Owl 15
It was so good the first time we went
We knew Laura would like it
This time we ordered the fried bread
Assorted pickled things
A liter of red wine to share and a half liter of white that turned out to be a liter
Pan fried steak! Delicious
Pasta with mushrooms
Super sized tortellini
This old door! Heading home as everyone was tired
