Today was Leslie's 64th birthday. The note I drew for her is my adaptation of the 'When I'm 64' song by the Beatles. Sing it with me..."As we meganger, throughout the world, I'll be by your side. Kissing you, hugging you and cuddling too, this and more are the things I'll do." May 1st is a holiday in most of the world and Italy is no exception. Since this holiday celebrated workers, the busses and trains were on a modified schedule which is code for don't hold your breath. So instead of going anywhere we walked south to Leslie's favorite firutta where we bought some fresh veggies and got a beautiful cantaloupe. Then we got the fish store and walked away with two 1.5 pound lobsters. Lastly we stopped into a bakery and Leslie got her birthday doughnut. Needless to say, dinner was fantastic.
This is kind of how we felt after our marathon Pompei day.

In the distance the freighter seems to be floating in midair
We poked our heads into a liquor store and found the "fill up your own jug" wine dispensaries
One of each, please
All of it was super fresh
Not only was it a holiday, it was the opening of the beaches
Families and friends were out enjoying the great weather

Big fish heads
Even langoustines

A very odd piece of advertisement in the bakery
