Lots of flowers all over town. Shops were abundant as well. We had some time before the ship departed so we looked at all of them. There was everything from high end sculpture and painting to furs to native Tlingit crafts. Everywhere we went there were interesting things to see. Prior to 1952 there was a thriving group of "sporting" women that satisfied the locals. Many of these women had a certain notoriety, Dolly being the most famous. There were re-enactors on the street busking for tips. We enjoyed the extensive floral displays and the colorful decorations along the walkway.
