We first saw Juneau mid-morning and it was easy to see why it is accessible only by the sea or by air. The town hugs the base of a mountain with tall mountains surrounding all around We took a easy walk into town and explored the various neighborhoods. We saw totem poles and native art on buildings and as sculptures all over town. It is hard to believe that this small town is the Capitol of Alaska. The vibe was very laid back even though there were five ships in port at the same time. We enjoyed the town and came back for some lunch before heading up the mountain

This façade is a thing of beauty
Don't get any on you!
And we realize how luck we are!
