It has been a full few days, to say the least: milestones reached, family goodbyes, automobile sold, apartment cleared out, more things dispersed and most importantly, items crossed off of our lists. One week ago Saturday, we drove to Orlando and met with the extended Godfrey clan. Sunday we drove to Destin Florida and met Yevette and Kurt. Monday we drove to Atlanta for visit with Gary and Carol. We got the news about Vera on Tuesday. Wednesday we sold the car and flew back from Atlanta. Thursday and Friday we emptied out what was left of our furniture and donated it to new immigrants who had slept on air mattresses on the floor the night previous. We also switched phone carriers while we were coordinating the move. After all that we checked, into the AC hotel last night in a tropical storm downpour! Today we had a few loose ends to tie up at the apartment and we got the cleaning crew started on the deep clean. If there were fewer things to get done we might be freaking out about the whole thing being just two days away, but there is no time for that! Gotta GO!
