16 June 2022 Juneau Alaska: Up to the Top

On the edge of town was a cable car that goes right up the hill.  It is steep and it is fast.  There was a restaurant, a informative movie, a gift shop, a captive bald eagle and some trails that wound around the snow still on the mountain top.  The movie was very optimistic with regard to the First Nations future and that was refreshing to hear. The eagle was very cool and bigger than I thought it would be.  We wandered around a bit and sat in some chairs right up at the top among the trees. We had this little spot all to ourselves for a bit.  It was refreshing and cool on the top of the mountain but when we descended the heat was front and center.  So we thought that this was thew time to get in the pool and make use of this facility while the weather allowed.
