22 June 2022 Anchorage Alaska its 20:22 06 / 22 / 2022

Our exit from the ship was pretty easy.  Yes, we had to get up early but we had a nice breakfast with Mike and Deb and then off to our ride into the Hills area of Anchorage.  It was a fun 2.5 hour drive filled with facts and anecdotes.  A quick dash into the store for essentials and then we arrived at our VRBO.  We were very early.  The host was there to greet us and even let us in, four and a half hours early.  We had lunch, sat out on the deck, attended to the never ending emails from Air Canada, updated an AirBnB for next week and then relaxed,  We had worked up an appetite so we fried up some tasty burgers for dinner and caught up on laundry,  We are getting into the travel mode.  We realized that the longest day of the year is the one that we are the furthest north on our recent travels making the day even a little bit longer.  We were at our southernmost point in Patagonia on December 22nd making it the longest day there as well.  From South to North we are following the sun.

Our driver did not bat an eye turning down this dirt track
