We hung out at the log cabin and relaxed all day. The picture above was the midnight sun still hanging on to the horizon. It is extra orange due to a fire in the area. The smoke was certainly an irritant. Add the cottonwood fluff to the smoke and I was sneezing and coughing up a storm. Dinner on the 23rd and 24th was the fresh salmon that we purchased in Anchorage. It was so fresh and tasty that we ate it all with abandon. Thanks to Terrell we got to the airport and are ready to fly to Vancouver for the next major leg...the Canadian Rockies
This is the back deck that we sat on and looked out to the back yard birds and cottonwood fluff
This is the smoke by mid afternoon on the 25th
Terrell Casey is a great human being. Not only was he early for our ride to the airport but he loaded all our bags. Somehow these bags are not getting any smaller. We talked the whole way and he cheered us on with hearty encouragement.
Airport Bears everywhere
Grrrrrrrr
Finally we see the biggest mile long moose in Alaska
Day 17 and 18 of our migration
