The drive was a bit wet but by the time we arrived in Waterford the sun was back out! We drove up to the ferry that shuttles cars over to the island where the castle is located and we were immediately taken to the other side. There was a police car in front of us and that may have been the reason that the ferryman did not wait the accustomed 7.5 minutes before departing. No matter, we got into out rooms right away, moved our tea time from 2:30 to 1:30 and settled in. I took a walk to stretch out and had a nice jaunt on a tree lined path. Out tea was tasty and since we had not had lunch it was devoured with gusto. The surroundings were so elegant that we felt regal. We then headed back into Waterford to visit a the Medieval Museum.
