We are leaving Toronto is three days and it is time to organize our stuff. When we stay for a month or more we unpack all of our clothes, give everything a good airing out and if there is a good washer/dryer in the place we will give everything a wash too. However that means we have to pack it all up again at the end of the stay. It is not a pointless activity as our clothes take a beating and not every shirt will make it to the next destination. Add to this our recent shopping and the need to fit these items into the luggage. Leslie and I have opposite packing philosophies. I will pack a bag with two or three days worth of outfits. My bag would contain a pair of pants, two long sleeve shirts, two short sleeve shirts and two undershirts. Leslie chooses to pack by categories, a bag will contain all her black shirts and another might contain all her fancy dresses. For this packing job, I went back to the basics and made four piles of outfits. Of course socks and skivvy's get their own bag as well as a bag for jackets and sweaters. Taking the time to get things squared away is definitely worth it in the long run.
