Lima Peru

This is our third time in Lima, but the first time where we actually get to leave the airport area. Of course we had to leave the airport building to make it from our international to our domestic flight the first time we were here, but that's not important. We got that great feeling you get when you see a man with a sign that has our name on it. He drove us to the hotel and it only took in half an hour as opposed to the hour that some places tell you it will take. We were entertained by jugglers along the way. Our room was very delightful on the 25th floor. It looks out over the fog-shrouded ocean. There is a entertainment / shopping complex right across the street. There are Greenways and walkways all along the cliffside. It's a very unique geography where there are 250 ft tall cliffs all along the coast. The highway is down at beach level and then you have to do switchbacks to get up to the city level. There are only a few points where you can get off the highway and up into the city. From our room we can watch surfers out there learning how to surf. We can watch the people at the shopping area, and of course people walking their dogs! We know that our time on this trip is getting short so we keep noticing more and more dogs. We know that pickles is waiting for us at home. The Amazing Race portion of our trip is over, thank goodness. We counted it out and we went to seven hotel rooms in the last 9 days. That's even tough for us so we're glad to luxuriate in our JW Marriott hotel room. We took a walk around Miraflores Lima and had a light dinner at the club lounge. Then we settled into our very comfortable beds with their high quality pillows and zzzzzzzz.
Yessssss!

Did not get a chance to toss a few coins

But thanks for the entertainment
