Nature at the Belmond

Right outside of our door is an orchid walk. It was most enjoyable! At the beginning was a couple of hummingbird feeders. Of course they were being swarmed with hummingbirds, the most difficult bird to photograph in the world. We saw half a dozen or more different orchids along our walk from big and showy ones to little teeny tiny ones. There was also the outdoor massage area with a little grotto. A couple was having a ritual with a shaman. We searched in vain for the hot tub. It exists only in the hotel brochure, it does not exist on the hotel grounds. It was probably too cold to get into it anyway, we just thanked our lucky stars we were not out there in flip-flops and robes looking for it in vain.

The start

Tiny strawberries

A string of funky seed pods
