The Belmond and our room

The Belmont is the only Hotel up at the top of the mountain right next to the gate to Machu Picchu.  Everyone else must take the van ride up and down each day. We're delighted at how beautiful our room is. We have a terrace that we can walk outto. It has a couple of chairs and looks out over some of the neighboring mountains. We have a lovely vaulted ceiling. However we had to turn the heat on, as it was only 15 degrees C in the room.  The maid service had left the sliding glass doors open to have a nice fresh breeze!  They are not from South Florida.
Finally the Belmond Machu Picchu

Two beautiful flowers

The View out from the dining area. We watched thousands of people lined up to take the shuttle bus down today and we didn't have to be amongst them

The dining area

The bar

The crazy shoes on the lady sitting next to us. I wonder how comfortable they will be climbing up and down the uneven Stone steps

Looking into our room we have two chairs and a lounger. The lounger is covered due to the persistent misty conditions

Two beds suitable for snoring

Here I am looking in the book trying to determine what these snoring consequences are

Looking out to our deck

A fine location for some wine and cheese

And here is some wine and cheese

Glasses should I choose not to drink straight from the bottle
