Packed and ready to go.

We are packed, we have checked our lists and double checked everything.  The only hold up now is that the trip is still 10 days away!  On the 20th of June we fly to Santiago Chile.  We have been here before and really liked it.  The next leg is off to Tahiti but with a twist.  There is one flight a week that stops off in Easter Island on its way to Tahiti.  We will have approximately 11 hours in Easter Island, so we have contracted a local guide to take us to all the sights!  Tahiti s a stop off on our way to Bora Bora .  Our flight does not get into Tahiti till 2 AM and then we fly again at 9:30 AM.  We will have a room in Tahiti to try to get a few hours sleep before our next flight.  After we land in Bora Bora, we take a boat to the Conrad and our over water bungalow.  Our goals are relaxation, snorkeling, private boat tour and  soaking up all the beauty of the South Pacific.  Then it is back through Tahiti to Auckland New Zealand.  We will be staying right in the harbor area next to the ferry terminal.  Auckland looks to be a funky smallish city and we will be walking to most of the sites.  We transfer through Melbourne Australia on our was to Bali ion Indonesia.  One of our travel rules of thumb is that we will take only one international flight per day.  Yes it seems silly to only be in Melbourne for 20 some hours, but if there is a substantial delay getting there and then we miss the next international leg of the trip, that can wreak havoc on the total itinerary.  Bali is a real treat and we will be visiting temples and seeing a traditional dance ceremony, as well as poolside relaxation.  From Bali we fly directly to Doha Qatar.  As I explained before on this blog, Colombo Sri Lanka was formerly on the trip but has been replaced with Doha.  It will be hot hot hot in Qatar and we plan on a museum or two to get out of the heat.  From Doha we fly directly to the Seychelles.  We are staying in a hill side villa that over looks a sail boat filled bay.  There are kayaks, bike boats, zip lines and a national park adjacent to the resort so we plan on taking advantage of many of the amenities while in the Seychelles.    The next leg is a daytime flight from the Seychelles to London England.  The flight should take us over the rift valley of Africa, either Malta or Sicily in the Mediterranean sea and then over France to England.  There will be plenty of looking out the windows.  From Heathrow we will go too an old hunting lodge now turned into a hotel.  The next morning we will go to Stonehenge, Avebury Circle, Bath and then end up at Thornbury Castle for high tea,  Off to Liverpool the following day and then the Isle of Man.  We have been planning this trip for the better part of 5 years and now on the anniversary of being a couple we choose to celebrate it this way.  The itinerary that follows is version 35 or 36 !!!
Version 35 is a winner
