Plaza de Armas and another cappuccino

After the market we strolled down to the Plaza de Armas. The cathedral is there and the little shop that we drank cappuccinos on our last trip here. So we decided a couple of cappuccinos would also be very nice. We sat on the edge and watched the whole of society go by. We saw vendors and dog walkers and joggers and inline skaters and bicyclists and tourists and locals just going about their business.  There was a sort of Speakers Corner where we saw several people loudly expressing their views. There was also a very large area where Local Schools were making murals / art projects. We had our cappuccinos and we walked around a couple times. There were people feeding pigeons and police with dogs and your regular group of free range dogs.

The design begins to take shape

We saw a variety of techniques from laying on your belly to Standing On Top of the design while trying to make it work

This was the best of all the designs

Bags and bags of different colored sawdust

This is when we came back the second time and the designs were definitely taking shape

The old and the new the cathedral and the tall buildings

These two police dogs were hit with everyone. We saw young and old stopped to pet and to look at them

Are these horses drunk?

A big hit with the little kids

When you look close they were very much worse for wear

I had to zoom in from a far distance to take this picture otherwise I would have to pay for the picture

So many pigeons

This dog came running up into the massive pigeons and they all scattered. It was quite the commotion

He is not busting a hip rap song, he is talking politics

You can see that these designs go on and on for an entire city block

Little Matilda here came walking by and I bent down to say hi.

Her owner told her to come by and say hi so he picked her up so we could both give her a pet

Where is the Little Drummer Boy?
