As we were driving up we passed the road that splits off to Argentina. Then we got to the town of Los Andes, too late. This quaint little town has seven wineries that have formed in association. We drove by the school and the church and then a couple of men on Horseback. Some of the older adobe brick style buildings are falling down. Perhaps due to earthquake damage or just normal wear and tear. But they have new house is popping up and definite signs of increased prosperity. Then as we were leaving the winery we saw another to Gentleman on horseback. I'm not sure if they're the same ones but they certainly were very handsome and very friendly. Leslie made sure that they knew they were handsome because she said "Muy guapos" they passed. That brought a smile to both of their faces. We don't know if they were smiling because of her pronunciation, choice of words in Spanish, or that it was just a nice sentiment.
It was a sign in the town describing how this location was important in the independence of Chile from Spain
Here they are traveling past so adobe brick buildings
You can see the International road that goes off to Mendoza Argentina off in the distance towards the mountains
Yes I do think they are the same two gentlemen
These dogs are very calm allowing two big horses to go by without any notice
I went to black and white here so you can get all the contrast of the Blue Sky in the White Mountains and the foreground all in the same picture
When your Dobie building goes into disrepair people use it as a place to put up graffiti. But they did not use any paint they just scratched into the Adobe
Some roof repair is needed
Adios Muchachos
There's that smile!
