Lunch and a museum or two

On our drive to the funicular the taxi driver pointed out a plethora of restaurants. We had that on our minds and when we returned from our trip to the top we set off to find lunch.  We spied out a very nice Japanese restaurant. I had a Bangkok soup and some dumplings and Leslie had some tasty Ramen.  There is a soccer tournament going on in Brazil so the soccer madness is rampant. They were showing games and highlights of old games ( all the way back to 1979) on the TV while we had our lunch. We then walked about a bit and made our way across the river to downtown. My wireless was glitchy so we could not use the maps.  We  had to take a taxi and tried to communicate that we wanted to get to the Contemporary Art Museum.  Pantomime wasn't working so luckily he looked it up on his smartphone.  Once we typed it in we were able to get there. The Contemporary Art Museum houses the works of only two artists.  I would say the building is the real piece of art for this Museum. After we walked over to the the Natural History Museum. The Natural History Museum was quite interesting and highlighted Flora and Fauna of South America. There were various vendor stalls around and we noticed they were tooting their horns in anticipation of Chile's soccer match tonight. I guess they want me to get an early start on the horn tooting. We took a taxi back to the Ritz.  We certainly got to see a side of Santiago we had not seen before on this taxi ride.

Ootoya?  It's the name of the restuarant

This man was grilling on the street corner. His grill was propped up on the shopping cart. So the shopping cart acted as a complete mobile stall for him.
