We landed about 6 PM and had to go through immigration which is never fun. We were entertained by the selection of footwear some of the ladies had chosen to travel in. We had a delightful driver that was there with our name on his placard. This is always a very comforting feeling for us. The traffic wasn't as bad as as it had been in the past but we still spent 45 minutes getting to the hotel. At the Santiago Ritz you check in on the 10th floor if you have the club level, which of course we do. As we were checking in they were taking away the dinner selections. The look on my face must have been obvious so one of the associates went back in the back and made a plate for each one of us. Tasty empanadas, some slices of very tender beef and rice. That was so thoughtful of them to do that for us. While we were eating, one of the associates that we met two years ago, Josefina, came out to say Hi. She was so delightful and personable two years ago that we were very pleased to see her again. It turns out she's in charge of the Club now. They could not have picked a better person. We got into our rooms, got settled and slept 10 hours. The breakfast spread this morning was exquisite. Leslie and I both got to try a melon pear for the first time. Now we are off to Santiago part two.
Well hello again!
