Welcome to the Conrad Bora Bora, how can we make your stay the best it can be? When you were greeted like that sometimes you think it is just the script. In our case this was truly the goal of this fine organization. Indeed they have made our stay something that is most exceptional. When we were researching Bora Bora we looked at all the different resorts. Some were better than others and some had amenities that others didn't but we really liked the Conrad and chose it for our stay. In particular we liked the royal over water Villa with pool, room number 107. It is at the end of a long jetty and has a very secluded vibe. In addition it had a view of the main island. There are only two royal over water Villas and the other one is 126. We requested 107 well in advance. They were quite clear that they cannot promise any specific room to any specific customer and we understood that going in. We figured with a 50/50 chance we would get 107. When we arrived we found out we could not have 107 and instead 126, so we were disappointed. However when we saw 126 and its proximity to the main dock we were crestfallen. Others can see the pool clearly from the restaurants and the lack of privacy was particularly concerning. We asked if any other accommodation had a pool, the presidential villa was the only other option. Never in our wildest dreams did we think that that would be a solution to our problems, but before you know it we had been upgraded to presidential villa number 1002. We would like to thank all the staff that made this happen for us on our 30th anniversary adventure, especially Laureen at the front desk Thomas on the airport transfer boat. Before we realized it our butler Ambroisine put into a golf cart and took us out on a tour of the facility. She took us to the spa, the chapel, the pool and all the restaurants. She drove us up to the presidential villas and told us that this would be our home for the next 4 days! What a glorious turn of events!
