11 October 2023 Athens: A Walk Through the National Gardens

While Laura took a nap we wandered around the National Gardens.  It was mostly trees and water features.  There were rock encased trenches that funneled the water from pond to pond.  We saw a Kio pond, a turtle pond,  a smaller fish pond and a big duck pond.  The gardens abut the Parliament building which we could see from the back.  We wandered and saw robins and parakeets flying about.  On the way back we passed the Guards marching along the sidewalk.  This area is home to many embassies and the buildings were very nice.  We got back for happy hour and roast chicken for dinner.

The designs looked like fingerprints and the spheres had gears attached to the sides that allowed for them to rotate.  Perhaps there are lights in the inside
