We had to pay 9 euro to enter the Citadel where there was a library and some ship models. We were also able to get to the upper parts of the Citadel where we got even nicer views and a huge breeze. The sun was shining and the rocks were toasty from the sun. So the breeze was most welcome. We stopped in for a snack that ended up being a full lunch. Back to the pad for some digestion and a few loads of wash.
The gates through the walls
Classic old mosaic
Narrow streets
Some Roman "pylons" or foundations from the 6-7th century BC
Ancient indeed
The pylons were in the center of a store
Our lunch
Right next to the bell tower
There are residences that the access is restricted
The library was very extensive
With marble statuary
And a refurbished stairway
