17 October 2023 Parga: On to the Tender and Up the to the Fortifications

Parga was our next port of call.  It does not have much of a harbor, so we had to anchor the ship and take the tender into town.  We got settled into the tender, took off and traveled a few hundred yards.  The we immediately turned around a returned to the ship.  This being our first time on a tender we were perplexed.   It was not a problem, they just wanted to pick up some more folks.  We wandered into town and kept a mainly uphill and leftwards direction until we reached the gate to the Citadel.  While the other folks were driving three hours to visit a monastery we were able to reach our "antient" site in only a half hour.

Pulling into town int he early morning

Towering limestone cliffs off to the south

The town is small
