Parga was our next port of call. It does not have much of a harbor, so we had to anchor the ship and take the tender into town. We got settled into the tender, took off and traveled a few hundred yards. The we immediately turned around a returned to the ship. This being our first time on a tender we were perplexed. It was not a problem, they just wanted to pick up some more folks. We wandered into town and kept a mainly uphill and leftwards direction until we reached the gate to the Citadel. While the other folks were driving three hours to visit a monastery we were able to reach our "antient" site in only a half hour.
Pulling into town int he early morning
The Citadel hill
Towering limestone cliffs off to the south
The town is small
With rocky island all around
The tender returning to pick us up
The portholes in the second level
They don't get cleaned often
All aboard
Watersports for those that stayed onboard
The tender is tiny
Redocking for more passengers

An oddly shaped tree
Warning warning warning, you are on your own if you pass these gates
Such a beautiful view
Spikes on the gate

Dave fared much better
This is certainly an effective gate
An actual hole in the wall
Millipedes on the ceiling of the gateway
Folks on the trail
Cannon at the ready

Our fine sunny day is beginning to cloud over
Only the hardiest of trees will grow up here

The arch is the strongest architectural element, except this one
Heading back
The gateway
Even more buildings up here
