22 September 2021 Paris Off to the left bank for dinner and a concert

We took a bus to the Left Bank for a Chopin piano concert.  The bus ride was fun and a new experience.  It was pretty full so we stood the whole way and it was like surfing, balance is the key to avoiding wipeouts.  We watched the route and got off at the correct stop just like we were professionals.  We had surveyed the area as to what our dining options were.  Brasserie Balzar was on our radar and when we got there we really liked it.  I got some escargot for an appetizer, beer for Leslie and wine for Laura and for me. Laura ordered a French onion soup that was twice as big as the biggest FOS I have ever seen before.  Our server Maria is from Spain and she was a hoot.  She kept us laughing right up to when she brought out only two of the three Beef Bourguignon dinners we ordered.  Oops.  Lucky for me Laura could not finish her French onion soup and Leslie could not finish her Beef Bourguignon.  So I was able to eat those items while waiting for my meal.  Before we knew it, it was 7:15 and we had to rush to the church for our concert.  It was at a tiny sanctuary of a Catholic church
