We did a bit of a walk on the way from the lOrangerie to Hotel de Crillon and saw the Eiffel Tower once again. The Hotel de Crillion is a fancy place indeed. They have a entire series of specialty drinks that both Laura and I decided to have. Leslie ordered a rose champagne and we had a toast to France. Viva la France! We also watched all of the fancy folks that came in to the bar. Laura is so knowledgeable about brands and fashion that she kept up a running commentary. It was like she was a commentator on a red carpet event. Our dinner reservation at the Buddha Bar was not till 7 PM and we were done with our first round of drinks at 6:35. That left us too much time and not enough liquor. So Round 2, ding ding doing, more drinks please. That took us to 7:00 and the Buddha Bar was only three buildings away so we were able to get to the restaurant in time for our reservation. They have a two story Buddha inside the restaurant. The cuisine is Asian fusion and we loved it. Sashimi for Leslie, an assortment of rolls for Laura and a spicy beef stir fry for me. Our waitress was a hoot!
