The Chateau de la Bourdaisiere is just outside Tours France. We drove for an hour or so to get here after leaving the Chateau Chambord. We drove through a bit of rain but nothing serious. The chateau is sprawling and its claim to fame is that they are Frances tomato conservatory. They have over 700 varieties of tomatoes growing on the grounds. In addition they have over 400 varieties of Dahlia flowers also growing. The gift shop features all forms of tomatoes, from seeds to juice, to sauces and much more. Our room was had two rooms with three beds and two different bathrooms. One of the commodes was up on a platform with three steps leading up to it. This was most certainly a throne. The wallpapers were very busy and ultra detailed. Even the elevator had fabric wallpaper. We visited the tomato garden and dahlia garden but go chased away by a cloud burst. So we went to the game room and played some backgammon until it was time for dinner.
The main building is in the background but it wraps around to the part showing on the left
