27 December 2021 Panama City Panama Our Introduction to the Old Town

If there is an Old Town there is a new town.  We could see the new town and the spread of skyscrapers off in the distance from our balcony first thing in the morning.  I don't mean to make that sound like we jumped up and got out of bed first thing in the morning or anything.  I took the picture and then got back into bed for another hour before we got up for breakfast.  Then we strolled around the old town for several hours.  It is an odd mix of beautifully restored buildings right next to places so run down that there was exterior supports in place to keep the walls standing. We stuck our heads into shops, looked in the windows of other places and scouted out places to est.   We saw four of the five squares and just had a fine time moseying about.
