I love the simplicity of the logo for our restaurant choice, Panchita (https://www.panchita.pe/). It got great reviews, mostly stressing the authentic dishes and hearty portions. It was only a 20 minute walk to get there and we saw lots of fun stuff. There were large murals, a nativity scene with very long necked people, fancy folks going here and there and a few not so fancy folks. We got to Panchita and it was hopping! Lots of people at large tables and the staff was having a good time going back and forth with food, drinks and bag after bag of take out. I tried to order the "Plate of Authentic Peruvian Street food for the Brave", The waiter refused my order, he said that it was enough food for four people. After seeing the size of the food we actually ordered it probably would have fed 8 people. My fried Guinea Pig was adventurous enough as it was. After lunch we met with Eduardo, who was an exchange student way back in the day with Carol G. Carol is married to Leslie's cousin Gary G. Carol describes Edwardo as her Brother by choice, which is so sweet. We had a great time talking with him. His love of travel and family are very similar to ours and we swapped travel stories for an hour and a half. We would still be there if not for the family diner that he was hosting. Soon the sun was setting and we said our goodbyes.
These are some happy cats! I love the unity message.
