12 item tasting menu at Leo

Leo had a 12 item tasting menu. 13 if you count the bread with two different types of butter. The food was very imaginative and the plates were equally imaginative. The restaurant was in a cool little trendy neighborhood. Once we were inside it was warm and inviting. The waiters all had black jackets and black earpieces so we kind of felt like we had our own security team while we are having dinner.  I was able to add caiman and ants to my carnivore list at this restaurant. The plates were actually small enough that we were able to manage the entire menu. The Chef & sommelier are a mother-daughter team and we saw them at a couple points during the dinner.  Of course we had fun imagining stories for all the other diners. The restroom was unisex and was someone unique. It had steps leading down to it and a beautiful floral arrangement inside it.
Nice racks

Taking a look around

Real candles

Vino and bubbly

Course one on the right is tuna with Stantonder ant's, long pepper and pigeon peas on the left is smoked rabbit encased in yuca with caribbean sour cream.

Camu camu filled with sun dried salted beef

River Lobster, mandarin lemon, pepper and coconut milk

Trout with Andean tubers, macadamia nuts, beans sprouts and sweet cucumber. The sauce tasted faintly of gazpacho

Pirachu fish and fermented yuca

A4 top of behind the wine racks

A red bean ball with dried mushrooms and a tasty sauce

Crab foamed up into a cake with crab meat on top and a paste made of vanilla

This is the caiman formed into a little ball. It has Amazonian pepper broth and Yuca.

Probably not this caiman.

This is the last dinner dish. It is a grilled pork rib which was so tender and tasty. It had barley both toasted and foamed and a little coating made out of black olives

Desert number one is pineapple and goat cheese with the tasty sauce. A very good palate cleanser

The second dessert was a dark chocolate with toasted sesame seeds a tropical fruit and some sort of licorice.

Two happy diners.

The upstairs was decorated with car headlights

Very eclectic bathroom

The finest floral display for a bathroom I've seen in a long long time
