Dinner at the flying plates: Platillos Voladores

The best restaurant is in Cali turns out to be two tenths of a mile from our hotel. We strolled on down where the second people in the restaurant. The first people pass this while we were looking at some flowers. But being early allowed us to take a tour of the entire restaurant. It's style is very eclectic and artsy and we enjoyed it greatly. I ordered a tom yum soup, a fish dish with coconut milk and cherna fish. Leslie ordered a chicken and guava dish with yellow potato puree and a blue cheese sauce. Both dishes were excellent and we had a lovely time eating them. The mural across from our table was so involved that we kept looking at it and discovering different things. Our server was named Veronica and she was a local and her English was excellent.  It was great to see that they were able to wear tennis shoes during work because they are on their feet all night long.
