Banda sinfonica de Montevideo

When we were researching Montevideo We found this beautiful old theater.  The theatre was built in 1856. We were seated in a box section which had two seats in the front and three seats in the back. The ones in the back were much taller. Our tickets were the three back seats but we weren't sure whether anyone would show up for the front two. A lovely older man showed up and sat in one of the fronrt seats , he assured Leslie it would be okay for her to sit in the adjacent one. While we were discussing the architecture and the layout of the seating, he said the boxes were designed for the patrons to be seen more than to see. We were elevated so the rest of the crowd could see us not necessarily so we would get a good view.  As it turns out for this performance we had some of the best seats in the entire house! During our research we saw that they would be a retrospective of Andrew Lloyd Webber songs with a symphony, full chorus, four vocalists, and a youth choir.  Veronica was up out of her chair several times going around the theater getting some great pictures for us. Thanks again Veronica for treating us to a wonderful theater experience!

Such incredible architecture

I tried cleaning my glasses several times but couldn't seem to get them clear. It turns out there was some theatrical fog in the atmosphere already a my glasses were already clean!
