Primuseum means Prime Dining

This blog post opens with a picture and I will try to paint a picture for you. Primuseum is the name of the restaurant in Montevideo Uruguay. Yet I feel that restaurant is too narrow of a word to define Primemuseum.

In the middle of the Old Town sits Prime Museum. It was restored and repurposed to house the owners father's collection of items. There are all kinds of antiques everywhere throughout the building. The chairs are from a notable Cafe that closed years ago, the Coke machine is from the USA and is still operational but you need old dimes to operate it. That is where the word Museum comes from in the name of the restaurant.  Above you seeing an open hearth where they grilling the meats right in front all to see.

This is advertisement for a headache remedy. He has nails and screws in his head safety pin and his nose it definitely illustrates head pain.

Veronica grabbed my camera and took all kinds of great pictures, once again. Here she is with the thumbs up good job Veronica

The food! We had a wide array of items throughout the evening. First a charcuterie and cheese plate. The pate was exceptional. Then came a couple of spoons filled with a tasty appetizer of lamb tongues.  This dish approached lamb tongue ceviche. Then a tray of sausages came out.  Blood sausage, lamb sausage, white sausage and a pork sausage all together for a very tasty  platter. That is the picture that you see above.   After that came a what seemed like veal parmesan but may have been utter or tripe we're not sure the translation wasn't all that clear. What was clear is how tasty it was tender and Light and yummy. Finally each one of us got to choose between beef pork or lamb. I chose the lamb chops which were so very tasty. Leslie got the pork which I liked as well because she let me have some. Thank you very much Leslie!
