We took off from Rio very early in the morning and had eight hours of flying today. Getting to see the mountains around Rio up above the clouds was very special. However there was mostly cloud cover the rest of the trip so we got to see a couple movies and took a nap. We landed in Bogota and we went to gate 73. However our flight was then moved to gate 78. From gate 78 we moved to gate 86. Gate 86 got 86-ed and we took off finally from gate 76. We got the laughing thinking that we would finally end up back at gate 73 but that never happened. We got better at it because we just followed the pilots. When they made an announcement in Spanish, we would just follow the pilots because we didn't understand the announcements. We finally landed in Cali Colombia. However it seemed to just be a bunch of corn fields where the airport was. But we got to downtown Kali fairly easily. There was some traffic and we got to see some of the local Peddlers. They would leave candy or cookies on your windshield and then walk on down the road. They would then come back and if you wanted the candies or cookies you would pay them and if not they would just pick them back up off your windshield and carry on. The madness really occurred with the motorcycles they would go to in the middle they would go to the right they would go to the left they would go everywhere they could and if it wasn't enough room that would go up on the sidewalk and still go around. We watched this one gal pass us and then we'd catch up to her and then she passed us this would catch up to her. The only reason we could ever catch up to her is because she was a very cautious driver. She was a rarity in the motorcycle driving community of Cali Colombia.
