Air B and B stands for Air Bake and Burn

As soon as we got into the airbnb we knew there was trouble. It must have been 90 degrees in the smelly hallway and once we got into the apartment itself it was 84° and the air was stagnant.  We wanted to like it so we dropped off our stuff and went to the Palace.  Upon our return it was even hotter.  We opened the slider to the tiny balcony but with only one door open no air would circulate.  We tried opening the doors in the bedrooms but the were only windows that leaned on and only opened up an inch at the top.  By now we are in full sweat and dreading a night in this place.  We asked the host if he had a fan and he told us where we could buy one....not the customer service we had hoped for.  So we got out the spreadsheet of alternative lodgings, walked two blocks and booked a room in The Thief, a fine hotel in the same neighborhood.

It was much hotter in the hallway but this was oppressive for a living area with no air conditioning.  29 C translates to 84 F

Bedroom window open

Bedroom window closed

I have a big thumb but that does not mean this is a large opening

I know I have a big shoe but that shows you how small the balcony was

Once The Slider was open we got to experience dinner with all of these folks down below as we could hear thier conversations and smell thier entrees.

This bed is in a pocket away from the window and would have been miserable

No air for Leslie

We are thinking others thoughts

7 p.m. and we are out of here

Happy lady in the air conditioning

Swanky digs

We made the right choice

This is how we felt when we got to the hotel. How do we not been so worn out we would have bent down next to the statue to get a picture
