Frederiksborg Castle

Frederiksborg Castle is called a castle even though it was not built with defensive protections.  It is called The Castle because Frederiksberg Palace is in Copenhagen and who needs two palaces named the same thing?. It is a baroque style Palace. It was built in the 1600s.  It's summer Palace so it was never intended to be used in the winter. One of the Kings named Christian's or Kings named Frederick's as they are all named Christin or  Frederick.  He liked it at this castle so he stayed for t but e winter.  He overloaded the Chimneys and it burnt down the entire castle.  Only a few parts of t hff e Chaple did not burn.  After Denmark switched to a constitutional monarchy, donations rebuilt Fredriksboug and it was used as a museum to commemorate the royal family
