Norway in a Nutshell

Norway in a nutshell is actually 5 nutshells together.  It starts with a high speed train from Bergen to Voss.   A fancy bus to Gudvangen at the start of Narowfjord.   A boat tour of two arms of  the Sognefjord the king of fjords.  A tourist train from Flam to Myrdal.  Finally the high speed train back to Bergen.  The first leg took about an hour to get to Voss. We were prepared for the number of tunnels because we had watched slow TV train from Bergen to Oslo. But when you actually experienced that many tunnels it's a whole different thing.
An odd marketing name for sure

The bus didn't  run when we needed it Saturday morning so we walked. Luckily we found a taxi halfway so we got to the station early enough.   We had a voucher but needed to convert it to tickets. We thought this was a long line....

Then we went in to get some tea and came out people were lined up for the train we really thought this was a long line.....

This my friend is a long line!

Is wrapped around the entire building and down beyond where we could even see

2 minutes before departure time and we still have not boarded The Japanese would be having heart attacks right now

Since we were very close to the front of the line we were able to pick seats that we liked.   I know the basic route so I guessed correctly which side to sit on.

This is a fjord the Bergen is situated on

A very picturesque bridge

Vista after Vista did not get old

One tunnel of many

The river system that we went along was one of the few that had never been dammed for hydro power

It will alternate between lakes and river and lakes and river

Definitely seems like I could canoe this river. We saw kayaks and whitewater rafts doing just that
