Botanical Gardens of Copenhagen

Only a half mile away is the park that contains the Botanical Gardens.   First we stopped back at the apartment for a snack.  Cold cuts,  a hearty grain rich bread, herring, tiny Greenlandic shrimps, and a salad.  We bought some beautiful note cards at the garden store.  The lack of rain was evident in the gardens and in the park.  Regardless we saw many small groups of people laying in the grass with thier shoes off picnicking.  We stood in line to pay for the gardens and the butterfly house, but it was 4:30.  They close at 5:00 so there was not enough time to charge us entry.  We were done in a half hour anyway but so it goes. Lots of cacti, succulents and a smattering of butterfly's.  On our way out we saw the wildflower garden.
