The King of all Fjords: Sognefjord

This fjord is one of the world's longest and deepest fjord it is 204 km from the coast to the innermost arm and its deepest point it is 1300 m (4300 feet) deep. We went over two arms,  the Naeroyfjord and Aurlandsfjord.  The Naeroyfjord is 20 km long and only 250 meters wide at its narrowest point.  There were tiny towns all along and people kayaking, sightseeing, hiking and farming. We also saw Viking boats and super speed boats, rocks we actually thought were giant tents. I probably have too many pictures up here but it was the most beautiful part of Norway and so I wanted to share. Sorry for oversharing.
2 hours of great fun and stunning scenery

Well worth standing in line for

This sums it up tiny villages waterfalls and Scenic tourist boats

If they have to row the whole way it is going to take a long time to get there

We are on our way

Sinuous waterfalls that go down the entire side of the Mountain

So beautiful

This is where we want our summer home

It's in the sun, it has beauty, it's right by the water it is everything we need

Black, tent, pyramid from the Egyptians?

Gigantic skree fall

Each little hamlet it requires a church

One of the narrowest points

Very steep valley walls

The Boy Scouts are out camping

One tiny tent on this steep wall

I can see how legends of mountain giants and trolls came about

A fast speed boat

It was quite chilly with a head wind

Fjord as far as the eye could see

Wherever the land is kind of flat you can put a city

You can tell how dry this summer has been for the Norwegian. They are heading up a switchbacked Road up the mountain

A great location for a farm

Perhaps a putting Green

You can see the putting green here on the side of the Mountain

A tiny house on Shore

Oops I wasn't supposed to show this

Trying to stay warm

A big Monolith of a mountain

Apparently they didn't have to row the whole way

A sense of scale for the Viking boat

It's green down by the water

It's warming up

Bare rock where the glaciers wore away everything

Another tiny town

Kayaking must have its dangers

Can you see the kayaks here in this flat

This waterfall made it all the way down

A close-up of the top part

Back in the valley another waterfall

Looking back up the fjord to the glaciers

Rounded due to the glacial action

A beehive of a mountain is there a honey pouring out?

Our sister ferry boat

These kayakers can be seen

Does this even count as a town

Super speed boat coming out us

They're going very very fast

From glaciers to waterfalls to saltwater

The tea has warmed us up nicely

Tiny kayaks you can barely see
