We were up early and on the road by 9 AM. Google took us through the French countryside. Some of the roads we were doubting as they seemed more like single lane driveways. When one particularly tiny road was blocked by large stones, we had to turn around. Our faith in Ms. Google took a hit. But after another 15 minutes of questionable roads we made it to a good one. Off to Lyon we go. The drive was the best so far. We drove along the Rhone for the last 20 km or so crossing back and forth over the river. We drove through Lyon to get to the Botanical gardens. The gardens were free so we strolled about for an hour and a half. I just love when I can take a picture that has nothing but blooms in the frame.
These cool greenhouses contained exotic plants from North America!
