Our long shadows are a representation sadness at leaving our long lost friend, Vienna. We brought a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Blush to the park outside City Hall to say goodbye. We had to change benches four times to keep in the sun. The sun set as we finished off the bottle and off to our 6:15 reservation at Ebi 1. We got there at 5:15, ehat we thought was a full hour early, only to be told we were an hour late. Yes 16:15 is not 6:15. No problem, the seated us but wanted to make sure we realized that at 7 PM we would have to be gone. This resturant is an "all you can eat but ala carte" Asian Fusion restaurant. We have had bad experiences with the all you can eat sushi business model as it seems to be razor thin slices of fish on top of massive rice balls. But this place was different, we could get sashimi without any rice, plus gyoza, yakitori and dumplings. We were given a tablet to order from and in two minutes whatever we ordered was on the table.
On our way to the park
This was a lovely display on the side of the tram. There were six or seven US-Austria seminal moments from 1918 to 2020. These included the Marshall plan the signing of the Austrian State Treaty and the Fulbright Program
A much more understated sign for the City of Vienna
Bring on the Veuve!
Here it is!
....and its gone, Goodbye Vienna, goodbye sobriety
A large concrete frame that is empty?
This very stylized statue was illuminated by the reflection off the theater building across the street
Dog Butt!
We like to eat early but this is still happy hour
A magic portal to sushi!
Our menu and the tablet
Stepping onto the tram one last time
This trolley was a very old version
Its hate to see but there are two levels of trolleys running at the same time
