All lit up and ready to play! The Wiener Mozart Koncert awaits us. We thought that we had the taxi app all figured out. When we tried to use it, it would not work because we had an international phone number! Grrr. So we took the tram and it took us right to where we needed to be. We got there early, not a new thing for us. It was good that we got there early, because we had to check in coats and umbrellas and then walk up 85 steps to get to our seats. Whew... that was unexpected but it put over the 11,000 step count. The musicians were in period costumes but we were pretty sure that some of them were in workout pants with big white socks worn on the outside. What ever gets you through the pandemic. The concert was lovely. When they left after 45 minutes it was not clear if this was an intermission or not. Without any announcements, we were not really sure. Since other people were staying. we did as well. It was a good thing because the second act was even better. They came back for a longer series of songs and then a couple of waltzes. On the last one the conductor was conducting the crowd in a round of rhythmic clapping. We were pretty sure that the male vocalists parents were in the crowd as they were so engaged. They clapped when he entered and yelled bravo a few times to boot. We saw the piccolo player on the first song but just he sat there for the next five songs. I was standing in my/ red shirt and red bow tie so he saw mw and we had a long distance stare down. But soon he had songs to play along with so he got back to work.
I would expect nothing lass than over the top for the top of the foyer.
A couple of nicely dressed gents
Even better outfit!
Even the stairwells get the top notch treatment. Little did we realize that it would be 85 steps up to our seats.

All we need is some musicians
This gives you a view of our limited sight lines. No problem as we were able to stand up and see everything
Let the festivities begin
The hall is mostly full. We saw a lady from our boat tour here as well
