We left the Spanish Riding School with some time to spare and as we were headed towards lunch we saw the globe museum. This is the only public museum in the world devoted to globes! Who could pass this up? There were globes of all shapes and sizes. There was an inflatable globe and that opens up like an umbrella all housed in the most beautiful location. The oldest one was from 1536. Many of the older ones had mythical beasts in the blank spots. Both terrestrial and celestial globes were on display. Then it was off to Cafe Central another classic Viennese cafe. Leslie got a huge bowl of Viennese soup and I got the suckling pig with brussel sprouts, a pea puree and bacon foam. So very tasty and again housed in an impressive building.
